Reverse Osmosis in Buckeye, Installed Under Your Sink
Reverse osmosis gives you clean drinking water from a small faucet at your kitchen sink. No more hauling cases of bottled water. We test your water for free, explain what an RO system will and won't do, and give you installed system pricing over the phone.
What Reverse Osmosis Does for Your Home
An RO system pushes water through a very fine membrane. Dissolved minerals, salts and most other things in the water stay behind and get rinsed down the drain. What comes out is water for drinking, coffee, ice and cooking. It sits under your kitchen sink and feeds its own faucet, so the rest of your home keeps running on regular tap water.
Water across the West Valley tends to carry a lot of dissolved minerals. That shows up as chalky taste and white crust on kettles and coffee makers. RO handles both at the tap where you drink. If scale is also hurting your fixtures and water heater, that is a job for one of our water softeners, and we will tell you which fits.
Sometimes a taste change or a utility notice makes people want to buy something fast. We would rather you act quickly and sensibly. A free water test first tells us whether RO is the right fix or whether something simpler will do.
Everything in an RO Install
A free test to start
Your water gets tested before we recommend anything. It costs nothing and comes with zero obligation.
Each filter stage
Sediment and carbon filters guard the membrane, which does most of the filtering. One last carbon filter cleans up the taste on the way to your glass.
Holding tank
A compact tank in the sink cabinet stores filtered water so it pours evenly. On qualifying systems, that tank has a lifetime warranty.
A separate drinking faucet
A thin faucet sits next to your current one and pours the filtered water. It can often go in an unused sprayer or soap dispenser hole, so the countertop may not need drilling.
Supply and drain connections
We tap the cold line and hook up the drain line correctly so waste water flows away clean. The install comes with the system, so labor is not billed separately.
Fridge line if you want it
We can run tubing to your refrigerator so its ice and water are filtered too.
Times RO Makes Sense
A pantry stacked with bottled water
If buying jugs of water is a regular errand, a faucet at your own sink ends it.
Chalky kettle buildup
White deposits in kettles, coffee makers and ice trays point to heavy dissolved minerals. RO removes most of them from your drinking water.
A flat or salty taste
Lots of minerals can make tap water taste salty or metallic. A membrane with carbon takes care of it.
Ice that comes out cloudy
RO water usually freezes into clearer ice with no odd taste.
Water that suddenly changed
When your water smells or tastes different after a storm or line work, start with your utility's instructions. Then have us test it so you understand what changed before spending anything.
Steps in an RO Install
- 1
A call and a free test
Once you call, we book a time to test your water, explain the results and give you installed system pricing.
- 2
Checking the sink cabinet
We look at the room under the sink, the cold shutoff, the drain and what your counter is made of. Granite and quartz take a different bit than laminate, so we come ready.
- 3
The install
A partner plumber turns off the cold water, mounts the filters and tank, installs the faucet and connects the drain and supply. Most kitchens are finished with plenty of the day left.
- 4
Checks and walkthrough
We run water through the new cartridges until it is clear, then check each connection for drips. You learn how the filters come off so you can change them later. We wipe out the cabinet and take the packaging with us.
What Moves the Price of an RO System
Install is included with the system, so the price you get by phone covers the equipment and the work. A few things change that number. We go over each one before you decide.
- System type
- More stages, a remineralizing filter or a tankless unit cost more than a basic four-stage system.
- Countertop and faucet
- Drilling stone takes more time than using an existing sprayer hole. Faucet finish also plays a part.
- Fridge or extra lines
- Running a line to your refrigerator or a wet bar adds tubing and labor.
- Water pressure
- RO needs decent pressure to work well. Low pressure may call for a small booster pump.
- Filter upkeep
- Prefilters are usually changed about once a year, and the membrane every few years. We tell you the ongoing cost up front.
Common RO Questions
Something not covered here? (480) 530-6468
Do RO systems use extra water?
A bit. The membrane flushes what it filters out to the drain, and some water goes with it. Current systems send far less down the drain than older models, and we can show you the ratio for any system we carry.
Does RO water taste bland?
For some people it does at first, since most minerals are removed. An optional mineral cartridge after the membrane puts back a little calcium and magnesium for fuller flavor. Ask for one and we will add it to your system.
Will it work during a power outage?
A standard RO system needs only your water pressure, so it keeps running when a monsoon knocks the power out. Tankless units and systems with a booster pump do need electricity, and we will tell you which type you are getting.
Should I get a softener as well?
Maybe. RO only treats the drinking water at one faucet. If hard water is building scale on fixtures and in the water heater, a softener protects the whole house and helps the RO membrane last longer. Your water test shows which one fits.
Does it come with a warranty?
The system tank on qualifying systems has a lifetime warranty. Before you buy, we will tell you if the one you chose qualifies.
Who puts the system in?
Every RO install is done by our partner plumbers. They connect to your cold line and drain correctly and check each fitting before leaving. You will know who is coming ahead of install day.
